Outdoors at Remembrance Farm

Botanical printing, also known as eco - printing is a natural dye technique of binding, bundling and steaming plant stuffs with fiber to get a truly one-of-a-kind print! Join us outdoors this fall at Remembrance farm (6294 Searsburg Rd in Trumansburg) and make your own botanical printed silk scarf! These scarves make a colorful addition to any outfit, and also make incredibly special gifts for loved ones.

We will begin the class with a short tour of our dye farm, and then harvest and pick flowers for our projects! We will then design and create our scarves. While they are “cooking,” we will have time to talk deeply about natural dye techniques, what sustainability can look like, and the complex histories of textiles.

This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to further their knowledge of plants, color and their relationship to fiber.

Luna Fiber Studio unfortunately does not issue refunds. We of course understand that life dishes out unforeseen situations at inopportune times, however our class space is extremely limited and classes usually book up months in advance. When you purchase a class with us, you are reserving your spot with our small business and committing to showing up!

In the case of extreme weather conditions or illness of the instructor, class may be canceled and the fee you paid will turn into Studio Credit, where you will be able to use it towards any other service or product offered at Luna.
