LOOM REPAIR
Have a rusty old loom that your inherited from Great Aunt Fill-In-The-Blank that you’d like to get popping, but you don’t even know if it works? WE GOT YOU! All looms function in similar ways, so even if it’s a super unique handmade loom that you can’t find anything about online, we can get her up and running for you! Email us here!
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
We are currently offering in person instruction as well as virtual instruction for both weaving and natural dyeing. If you have your own equipment, we can accommodate lessons in your own home. If you do not, you can rent equipment from us! We also offer group instruction for more than one person. Please book a Private Instruction Consultation today!
INTERNSHIPS
Seasonal and year-long internships are available for young adults who are interested in and have experience in textile arts, farming , and marketing/communication. We are currently full for the 2025 season!
ALTERATIONS
We are offering simple mending and alterations including patches, hems, buttons, zippers, and torn seams. You can contact us via email, or just stop by our Open Studio Hours the THIRD Saturday of every month to drop off or pick up your items in need! Check out our “Course” page for more info!
BIPOC SCHOLARSHIPS
All class fees at Luna Fiber Studio help support our BIPOC scholarship program. Partial to full scholarships are available for BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) year round. Please inquire for more information by emailing us.

Time: Saturday September 26th & Sunday September 27th, 10am - 5pm
Level: Beginners- must have prior experience warping a loom
Designed as a follow up to our Intro To Weaving Intensive Workshop, this two day quick-paced project-based class offers you new challenges while you practice your skills under supervision. (Think of it as a little hand holding before you fledge!) Designing for a project with a goal in mind (in this case absorbency, durability and wash fastness) can be pretty complicated. Well, we’re here to make sure these towels are something you can brag about.
Saturday we design and warp: Using my favorite Brown Sheep cotton blend yarn, students will be able to prepare their warps using up to three different colors, and can choose their structure based on interest/skill level. (The samples shown are variations of twill, which may sound boring but can actually be quite complex!)
Sunday we weave: Spend the day zoning out to the rhythm of the looms, and leave with the most beautiful set of hand towels you’ve ever laid your eyes on. After washing on high heat, towels are approximately 16” x 25” each.
P.S. Our weaving class sizes are capped at 3 people maximum to insure that each student receives the one-on-one attention necessary for learning the weaving process. All materials and equipment rental fees included!
Cancellation Policy:
Luna Fiber Studio unfortunately does not issue refunds. We of course understand that life dishes out unforeseen situations at inopportune times, however our class space is extremely limited and classes usually book up months in advance. When you purchase a class with us, you are reserving your spot with our small business and committing to showing up!
In the case of extreme weather conditions or illness of the instructor, class may be canceled and the fee you paid will turn into Studio Credit, where you will be able to use it towards any other service or product offered at Luna.
